Role Summary

Transborder Logistics Limited is seeking a proactive and experienced Fleet Manager to oversee the day-to-day management, coordination, and performance of the company’s fleet operations across project locations.

The Fleet Manager will be responsible for vehicle deployment, maintenance coordination, driver supervision, fuel monitoring, fleet compliance, operational reporting, and ensuring efficient transportation support for field operations and last-mile delivery activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate preventive and corrective vehicle maintenance activities to ensure all vehicles remain roadworthy, operational, and available for field deployment.
  • Monitor vehicle condition, servicing schedules, repairs, fuel consumption, and operational performance to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Track and monitor fuel usage, vehicle movement, and transport-related expenses while promoting accountability and cost-effective fleet operations.
  • Liaise with external vendors, workshops, mechanics, and service providers to ensure timely and quality maintenance and repair services.
  • Manage vehicle deployment, allocation, and movement scheduling across project locations while ensuring optimal utilization of fleet resources
  • Supervise drivers and transport personnel, ensuring professionalism, compliance with road safety regulations, and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all fleet documentation, including licenses, insurance, roadworthiness certificates, and maintenance records, is valid, updated, and properly maintained.
  • Prepare routine fleet reports covering vehicle utilization, maintenance status, fuel consumption, operational challenges, and transport activities.
  • Support operational planning and emergency field logistics activities by ensuring the availability and readiness of vehicles for deployment.
  • Promote fleet safety, operational compliance, and proper use of organizational transport assets across all project locations.
  • Support coordination of daily fleet operations to ensure timely and efficient transportation support for all operational and field activities.
  • Occasionally provide operational driving support and fill in for absent drivers when necessary to ensure continuity of field and transport operations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Logistics, Transport Management, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fleet or transport management.
  • Experience managing operational vehicles across multiple locations.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and transport operations.
  • Experience in logistics, humanitarian, public health, or last-mile delivery operations is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet tracking/reporting systems.
